Many spiritual and religious traditions hold that water has magical properties and emphasise its use as a healing tool. It’s no coincidence that the Christian rite of Baptism centres on the idea that water can wash away sins. All four major religions in India—Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism—have ritual bathing practises. One could go on and on with the list. The water on Earth and in its atmosphere is older than the Sun, so it must have a long memory.

Like a physical bath, a spiritual bath cleanses the subconscious mind of the daily barrage of negativity it must endure. Water has a calming effect on the body and can help remove negative thoughts. Crawling into your bathtub should be treated as a sacred ritual, so before you get in, say a prayer of thanksgiving for the water. Please consider this a cleansing rite. Of course, there are a plethora of luxurious bath bombs available for purchase, but you can safely ignore this temptation. Simple rock salt, also known as mota namak, is all that is required. Oils and herbs with medicinal properties can be added. When the right crystals and herbs are used, this bath can serve as a therapeutic session, and their energies can have profound effects. All of the components—fragrant oils, soothing salts, and calming water—work together to produce an unforgettable state of tranquilly. Adding crystals to the mix yields magical results. For a romantic evening out, try a bath infused with Rose Quartz, Rose essential oil, and rose petals.

Smoke ceremonies can be found in many different religions and spiritual traditions across the globe. People burn incense, camphor, and other herbs to dispel evil spirits from their homes and places of business. Be aware that this act is much more than just burning some herbs before you start. The cleansing of the aura with smoke, also known as smudging, helps one to tune in to their own vibration and block out distractions from the outside world. Make time for your spiritual practises every day, no matter how hectic your schedule gets. If you miss a day, just pick back up where you left off whenever you can. The goal is to make praying regularly a part of your routine. Try self-affirmations if Psalms and mantras don’t do the trick. This prayer should be the first thing you say when you wake up in the morning, and you can return to it as often as you like throughout the day. Praying regularly will become a habit that strengthens your relationship with the divine energies and makes it easier to deal with the daily challenges you face. You’ll find that your mind and body are paying attention, and that this opens you up to a wellspring of boundless love, joy, power, and compassion. In order to ensure that you always remember your mantra or prayer, it is important to repeat it to yourself frequently.

Whatever challenges you face in life, always remember to stay true to your spiritual commitment.
